Club Welfare Officer

Hi all. My name is Brian Hayes, and I am delighted to be appointed the Elite Ju Jitsu Club Welfare Officer (CWO) and I look forward to working hard to sustain the high quality levels in place.

My role as the Club welfare officer is to support both members and officials in ensuring a safe effective working environment, where all members can enjoy learning this traditional art and reach their potential.

I started Ju Jitsu with my son Jack (who now trains with the intermediates) 7 years ago and since then my daughter has also started Connie (who currently trains with the beginners). As a family we enjoy everything about the club and we all enjoy training in such a respectful, dynamic and enthusiastic atmosphere.

In terms of myself, I’m a Chartered Biologist, a published Scientist and I promote Science to children in schools (mainly in the North West) as part of my role as a STEM Ambassador for the United Kingdom. I enjoy supporting charities and as a result, I have cycled from London to Paris and ran the London Marathon to raise money for 2 close hearted children’s charities. More recently, I ran the Liverpool half marathon with Sensei Norman to help raise money towards new mats for the club.

I am warm and approachable, so please do not hesitate to stop me in the club or contact me using the details below
